Wee Jack’s doggie dad had a mug that said, ‘If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh*t’

The poo bag industry seemed to have taken that as their manifesto.

There were even companies that used a small amount of plant material and blended it with plastic for ‘cornstarch blended biodegradable poo bags’.

That wasn’t fooling Wee Jack and his pet parents anymore – plant plus plastic still left plastic.

They kept going with their research until they discovered the word they were looking for…

Something that’s compostable, will break down into non-toxic parts that can be taken up as nourishment by the surrounding environment.

So if a company used only a plant-based material to make their bags – it would be compostable and therefore – we’re good?

Should be, but after all those weasel words Wee Jack and his parents wanted to be absolutely sure. And they could be sure…

They discovered a standard certificate, used worldwide, that showed an item was compostable.

It’s the EN13432 certificate and the seedling logo that usually goes with it…

Finally wee Jack and his parents had got somewhere but how to let other people know?

How can everyone do the right thing if they’re being deliberately baffled with bullsh*t?

Wee Jack was so determined to help that he was willing to let Wee Jack disappear forever…
