Lightning Top 50 – WOW – Thank you!
We’re thrilled to share with you that we made this year’s Lightning 50 list!
But er… the Light-now-what-now?
Well, let me tell you…
It’s a list of the 50 fastest growing e-commerce brands over the past 12 months.
The list is produced by Brightpearl, a company that helps with the backend operations of online businesses and is sponsored by Trustpilot.
In their words:
“The Lightning 50 is a definitive list of Britain’s 50 fastest-growing brands, and recognises the fastest growing eCommerce businesses from a range of sectors, with annual turnovers from £1M-£250M, who have headquarters in the UK. The rankings take 2019 revenue and compare it to 2020 revenue growth.”
If you’re interested in where exactly we placed in the Lightning 50 list, you should be able to find out here: https://www.brightpearl.com/lightning-50
We’re pleased to announce we came in 14th and placed FIRST in the North-West!
However, I can comfortably say that we’re at the bottom end in terms of turnover – we’re still just a handful of people up against the big bad world – but we certainly wouldn’t be anywhere without you…
Thank you so much for your support over the last few years.
The last 18 months or so have been particularly tricky, and we only survived thanks to your patience during the stock and packaging issues we suffered this year and last.
But you did more than that; your feedback and suggestions helped us find our way.
And your recommendations to our fellow pet parents helped many, many more people discover us than we could have ever done on our own.
This is a lovely little win for us together.
Celebrate Good News
By way of celebration, I’ve organised a cheeky 10% discount on everything – including multipacks – for this weekend only.

As usual, don’t get left wondering because the offer ends at the stroke of midnight on Monday 27th September 2021.
Have yourself a lovely, lovely weekend,
The poultry training treats are about to have a change in packaging (the fish training treat packets have already changed).
The new packets are plastic, but they are fully recyclable at the kerbside.
This is the only solution we’ve found so far that is fully recyclable at the kerbside, as meaty pet treats contain oils that seep through cardboard or paper.
This is an ongoing struggle that we’re fully engaged with, so you may see various packet changes throughout the ranges until we finally get there.
